How to book
Once you’ve purchased your discounted voucher, you will receive your printed vouchers which include a 6 digit number and security code from Virgin Balloon Flights. Keep these safe. The Virgin Balloon Flights Customer Service team need these details to get you booked onto a flight.
You will be presented with a list of dates and launch sites relevant to your voucher and location. Please note that flights are scheduled 4-6 weeks in advance. Our call center team will be able to tell you when a pilot is due to update his/her flight schedule.
Select a suitable date and time and book yourself onto the flights. You will receive an email confirming your flight.
Once the big day arrives, you need to call your flight line (stated in your booking details). For morning flights, passengers need to call at 11pm the night before. For afternoon/evening flights please call the flight line at 2pm on the day of your flight. Listen carefully to the entire recorded message, there might be details of launch site changes or weather cancellations.
Ballooning And The British Weather
As we all know, the great British weather can be unreliable at the best of times. Virgin Balloon Flights staff understand. If we could control the weather we would! Customer Services work hard to liaise with all the pilots to ensure that customers are given the best chance of flying without too many re-schedules.
If your flight goes ahead, meet your balloon crew at the agreed location, giving plenty of time for safety briefings.
Ballooning is a weather dependent sport. Pilots cannot fly in inclement conditions. If you need to re-book your flight, the Virgin Balloon Flights call centre team will be happy to help and liaise with your pilot to discover a more suitable date. Because while you might have bought with a Virgin Balloon Flights discount, you will get the same incredible service and spectacular flight experience as every other passenger.
